This site utilizes a different leveling system for pokemon battles. As it is incredible difficult to balance battling, the experience gain reflects the linear expression. When one pokemon defeats another in single combat, the victor receives a single level, regardless of any outside conditions, namely levels.
Regarding evolution, three-stage evolution pokemon require 10 levels to advance to the next stage. Note that Pokemon such as Bellossom, Crobat, or Umbreon are considered two-stage evoltuions, which require 15 levels to advance. Upon gaining the level prerequisite, the pokemon in question may evolve in any subsequent thread, or the character may choose to not evolve their Pokemon. Note that a Pokemon may evolve more than every three threads.
