Samuel "Sam" Guever
33, Male
33, Male
Appearance:
Face Claiming: Eric Whitacre-Virtual Choir (Yes, I've heard of it. I can't sing, though)
Personality: Sam is totally chill. He's a cool guy to hang with and a great friend to those that are loyal to him. He doesn't particularly hate anything. If someone hates him, he won't hate them back, he'll actually probably like them. Very rarely does he get angry. He also has a very strong hatred of hurting anyone.
Sam has a very powerful sense of loyalty. He believes that, once a commitment is made, it must be kept, no matter what is thrown in their way. This creates a very large barrier, however, between him and the two sides of the war. So many people show their disloyalty that he has become so disgusted with choosing a side, that he refuses to even pretend they are there.
History: Unlike many people in this world, Sam's background was almost completely free of drama. Only once in his life did anything tragic happen. He had a mother and a father and, at age fifteen, a baby sister. His childhood was full of every emotion known to man. He could easily pick out small pieces, examine them, and put them away. His favorite memories were those concerning his Nindorino, especially the one where they had met each other. Sam was eight and was bullied a lot at school. He never told his mom, though, because he hated being babied and pitied. This memory took place outside, being pushed around under the playground during recess. He had a bruise sprouting on the side of his leg and a tear in his shirt. The boys were laughing at his tears. They stopped when they heard the growl in the bushes. Out came a Nindoran, male, carefully stepping forward with a horn glowing purple, ready to shoot a poison sting if they didn't do as he wanted. They bullies feared it and turned to run.
From then on, Sam and the Nindoran were friends, meeting up every day after school and during recess. A few years later, Nindoran showed up as a Nindorino. Their meetings became harder to schedule as they bothed aged. Finally, Sam asked his mom if he could keep Nindorino as a pet and raise it himself. After a few days of badgering and sucking up to her, she finally gave in and they were inseparable.
The worst moment of Sam's life was when he lost his friend. It was another school day. It was a day in which you could bring a Pokemon to class, where they would be having activities related to the specific Pokemon. The two appeared together and went through the day fine. Sam had no idea that it would turn out the way it would. It all started with Nindorino losing a certain battle against a certain bully that had already met the Pokemon before. As Sam picked up his defeated partner from the ground, he began to taunt the Pokemon's strength, shouting about how he had never feared it as a child and was surprised it had ever managed to evolve. As he rambled on, Nindorino's anger began to build. He flipped out of Sam's arms and faced to boy. He began to shout some very nasty things in his own language. The bully had no sense of this and began a very nasty, ridiculous laugh. Nindorino lost control and began shooting out a flurry of Poison Sting in every direction. Fortunately, few kids had been around, besides Sam and the bully. The kids that were in danger of being stricken were rushed quickly inside as the two boys fell to the onslaught of Nindorino's wrath.
Sam woke up in the hospital a week later with stitches across his chest and a flaming pain under his skin. His mother informed him that his partner had done this to him and the other boy. However, the bully must have had either a weaker immunity to the poison or he had been hit more because he had been killed. Nindorino was to be put to sleep for life. Sam was distraught, not only because Nindorino, his best friend, his partner for the future, was being ripped away from him, but because he had caused the boy's death. If he had gotten Nindorino away, or stopped him from hurting anyone, nothing would have happened. He requested that he stayed in the room when they did it.
Nindorino had been struggling, fighting death away, but in vain. The doctors were strong and kept him down. However, when Sam walked in, he relaxed and they were able to prepare him for sleep. For the last few minutes of the Pokemon's life, he found the stitches in Sam's body and began to cry. Sam grabbed his paw and told him that he was never angry. They comforted each other until the sleeping vile was injected and Nindorino moved no more. Sam's last regret as he left the room was that he never got to see his partner evolve...
Four years later, he opened himself back to the world of Pokemon. He was twenty years old. He got over his sadness of Nindorino's death and continued on with life. He began to study them closer, their behaviors. He became apprenticed under a small town scientist on Pokemon speech. After twelve years, the scientist sent him off to go and get a Pokemon and to start his own journey, like many kids were doing so they could understand a little more about behavior and their speech. He accepted and started his journey with the intent, not to become a master, but to understand more about their world.
