Heather was getting out of her mom's shiny car, slamming the door behind her. Well, maybe she didn't really want to do this, but her mother had really gone crazy about it and had told her that she just had to travel across the whole entire freaking island just so Heather could get her first Pokemon in Smallsprout town. Really, it wasn't that hard to just catch a Pokemon and give it to her. So, that was one reason Heather was sort of pissed right now. The second reason was that her mom had forced her into some nice clothes. The kind of clothes with ruffles and wrist cuffs that really didn't look to good on Heather.
She grimaced as her mother called out a goodbye from the car and drove away. Whatever, her mom could do whatever she wanted now. She was out of Heather's life. This was her time. She should be happy about this. Going off on her own, for once, but she felt sort of angry about it. And it confused her. A lot. So she snarled and walked up to the lab.
Without really caring about if she was being rude or not, she flung open the lab door. She wondered if anyone else did this or not. Well, she did. This was her journey, anyways, no one could tell her what to do anymore. She stalked forward, looking around at the high tech of the professor's lab. All the computers and people. If anyone else had walked in like that and stood in front of a crowd of people older than her, they would have been extremely embarrassed. Not Heather. She put her hands on her hips and announced to the crowd of people, "Who's going to help me get my first Pokemon?"

A girl popped her head out from behind a door after hearing Heather's brash tone, and the awkward silence following it. She had a kind face, fair skin, and brown eyes, looking to be in her early 20's, though she was only 4'11". On top of her head was a white bandanna, with the lab insignia on it. She popped her head out now, and one could see the white hankercief around her neck, again with the insignia. "Give me one second, and ill be there to help you!"
Now swinging out the dorr was ever positive kallie, even in the face of the nastyest people. She was a lad assistant here in the lab, helping new trainers get pokemon. She came out with a bucket full of pokeballs, and was dressed in the lab's color, white. She wore white pants, a rolled up white shirt, a white apron, and a white bandanna and hankercheif. But what really made Kallie stand out was all the feathers! The great pigdeot wings resting on her back, the fan of tail feathers behind her, and the long head feathers that trailed down her back like hair.
The pokemorph smiled brightly at Heather. "You can choose from three pokemon from any type you want. so what type would you like?" Kallie asked, going through the routine. She was very used to trainers by now, and since she wasn't a sceintist, she took care of most of the new trainer jobs or raising the baby pokemon. She looked expectantly ay heather, her odd appearance and upbeat manner gave her a very beautiful look in this plain place. She waited for a response.

Heather was not very polite with the first thing she said to this girl. She took one look and put on her most horrified face. "What's with the feathers?" Then realizing that this was very very rude, she shook her head. "Sorry, didn't mean for it to come out like that." She eyed the bucket of Pokeballs, unsure of what to pick. Then the image of the Haxorus came to her mind and the word blurted out of her mouth. "Dragon."

Kallie chuckled good naturedly at Heather's comment. She had been asked before, but maybe not in such a rude manner. But heather might not have been able to help it. she as in a new place, uncertain, probably very uncomfortable. And the entire look of feathers in your face must have really shocked her. I did that for most people. "Oh its alright," Kallie responded, waving it away with her hand. "I'm a Pidgeotmorph, is all." She explained simply, as if it was a normal everyday thing, to see a pokemorph. And it was what made her special, why should she hide it? It was certainly normal enogh around the lab. Who better than to take care of pokemon than pokemorphs? She blinked and smiled at heather's blurted response. She just assumed to connect it to nerves. She then reached in the bucket searching for three Dragon pokemon, and then lined up the pokeballs one by one infront of heather. She quickly explained what pokemon were in each pokeball from left to right: Deino Male Tackle/Dragon Rage/Focus Energy Axew Male Scratch/Leer/Assurance Gible Female Tackle/Sand Attack/Dragon Rage "Take your pick!"

Heather looked over the three Pokemon, narrowing her eyes. Well, if she picked Deino, that would be socially suicidal. She's look like an emo freak with a dark type Dragon Pokemon. If she picked Axew, well, Axew wasn't that bad. And then there was Gible. Well, she could pick Deino, just because Hydreigon was pretty cool, but who knows how long it will take to get him. And Axew was pretty adorable and would probably make a good partner. Plus, she still remembered the day in the woods with the Haxorus. And then, finally, Gible. That was the only girl. Well, she didn't have to have a girl to go on this journey, though she'd prefer a girl, she just had to have a partner.
Then she thought about later on. Who would she rather have? Hydreigon? Haxorus? Garchomp? That was when she cut Gible out of the equation. Garchomp was definitely not her favorite out of the three. Hydreigon was a dual type and could learn some pretty badass moves, but Haxorus was quicker and easier to train. But, she did really like Deino...
She looked up at Kallie and nodded. "I'll take the Deino."

Kallie glanced at Heather, her tense looks, putting alot of thought into her decisoin, as though it was her last. It made kallie smile, how serious hHather was taking this, and how much she wanted a partner that she would be close with forever. "Denio it is" Kallie agreed, after Heather made her decisoin. She picked up his pokeball, and held it out. "Here-"SLAM! Suddenly, the back door burst open, and out came a Dratini. The pokemon went over towards Kallie, happily going along, wondering why she was taking so long. But the then, Dratini saw the people, saw Heather. Unfamiliar faces. Being so shy, Dratini's eyes widened, and then the pokemon ducked behind Kallies legs, and peered out adorably at Heather. "Oh.... this is Dratini. He's Another Dragon type."Dratini Male Wrap/Leer/Twister

Snatching the Pokeball from Kallie's hand, Heather looked down at the Dratini. Well...it was cute. But she already have a Pokemon. And, her work here was finished so she wanted to get this over with as soon as possible. "Thanks, but no thanks, I'll stick with my Deino." She looked at the small Pokeball in her hands. "I guess I should name you, huh?"
She screwed up her concentration and tried to think of some interesting male names. She found none that fit and then came the most obvious, perfect name for a dark and dragon duel type. "Demon. Your name is Demon." She didn't think of the possibility that this could be seen as very rude and turned back to Kallie. "Is that it?"

Kallie meerley nodded as Heather spoke aloud of her pokemon's new name. Another pokemon, another home. She smiled and picked up Dratini in one arm, and the bucket of pokeballs with her oter hand, after tossing the other pokeballs back in.
"That is all, good luck on your journey. A long and exciting path awaits you." Kallied nodded to confirm it, and turned away, her head and tail feathers swinging around beautifuly.

Heather snorted as she turned away, waving her pretty feathers. She hated being matched by beauty, though it wasn't really hard. She turned away as well with an attitude and burst out through the door. As she walked away from the lab, she looked down at the Pokeball in her hand. Demon. Her first Pokemon. A strange, alien feeling welled up inside her. She couldn't give a name to it, so she shrugged and pocketed the Pokeball.
Another adventured had just begun. However reluctant the adventurer may be.
