Rose
15, Female
[/blockquote]15, Female
Appearance:
Face Claiming: Anna Popplewell - Narnia
Personality: Rose looks harmless. And she is...usually. On the outside, she's just a pretty, innocent, sweet, kind, teenage girl. On the inside, however, she's a real born hard-core Pokemon trainer. She may, sometimes, if her anger peaks, accidently put either her life or her Pokemon's in danger. Otherwise, she's a kind, thoughtful person willing to aid those in need.
However much she tries to hide her inner fury, sometimes it will peek out if she hears or says something that upsets her. Because of this problem, Rose is a very sensitive, closed person. She bottles up her emotions, then opens the top unintentionally when she, or someone near, is in danger. Her anger is usually terrible, but this is what makes her and her Pokemon vulnerable. Because of this problem, she is prone to lose many battles and win many fights. Of course, she'll need a Pokemon partner to help her with these problems.
History: When Rose was born, her father was very proud. Her walked through the streets and boasted of his daughter's greatness, how she was destined to become powerful one day. When one lady came up to him and warned him not to be so sure, he answered her, 'Foolish women, you know nothing of the future. I have seen the destiny of my child, which you have no control over. Now leave a better man alone.' He pushed the women the ground and continued on his way. This infuriated the women and she waited until he came into the street again. Hiding in the shadows, she waited. When he came by, she lashed out and struck him to the ground. As he died, the women whispered in his ear, 'You have insulted me. Forever, your daughter shall be cursed to forever walk the path of misery. Luck will not follow in her footsteps and only pain is in her future. Do not underestimate the power of darkness.' In his last minutes, Jaden saw her shed her clothing and become a black creature with a glowing blue eye and billowing white hair.
It was said later by officials that the old lady whom had somehow killed a grown man was not actually human. In fact, they believed that she wasn't any kind of phantom, but a Pokemon. And not just any Pokemon.
Since her mother had told her of the mysterious death of her father, Rose had always been wondering what the old lady really was. She was desperate for revenge and wanted to destroy this Pokemon for laying such a tragedy on both her and her mother's shoulders. She grew up in such a miserable state that she no longer cared if she was living properly. She gave up all the good food her mother made and settled on ordinary bread and maybe some cheese or ham. She drank only water and ate no ice cream or candy. Her mother always said to her friends, 'There isn't no one like that Rose. She seems intent on carrying the misery of her father's death her whole damn life.'
In fact, her mother was wrong. Rose did not know why she was always feeling terrible. She barely thought about her father. As she grew older, she began to stray away from home. She lived in a small town near the Sierra Mountains. She liked to explore the great peaks every day, though she did not go far into the mountain range. By chance one day, she met a strange Pokemon there. It was a Zorua...but the color of it wasn't right. It was not quite black, but more blue. She immediately befriended it and took it home to show her mother.
Scared of this Pokemon her mother was. She ordered Rose to put it back where it came from and that she never wanted to see it in the house again. Rose, however, was not going to give up her new friend so easily. Already, the Human and Pokemon were the best of friends. She named her Destiny, as it seemed a queer name for such a queer Pokemon. Life went on as usual, however, Rose had Destiny now, who became the closest thing to a best friend. Everything was well...temporarily.
One day, when Rose was ten, Destiny disappeared. When she went to find her friend once again, she found no one and no trace of any Zorua either. That same night, there came a huge noise, like a firework exploding on the ground, that jerked Rose out of her sleep. Looking for the source of the noise, she found fire raging in the streets. People were running away, mothers were screaming for their children, Pokemon were going wild. Rose, scared, fled. She was scared of pain, as it came almost all the time to her, and she was even more afraid of death. She did not want to die. She wanted desperately to find refuge in the Sierra Mountains, but a wall of fire blocked her way and she was forced to turn her back on the mountain peaks.
After a while, she traveled into a nearby town to gather information. Her birth town was the work of an unknown creature. In the middle of the night, a dark shape came flying into the town and began to wreak havoc. The inferno that came from this spread and attacked the entire town. Afterwards, people came to investigate the ruins. There were no survivors.
Deeply sorrowed, Rose wandered around town, homeless, until an old women found her and brought her home, touched by such a poor, lost child. In the five years she lived with this kind women, Rose changed. She no longer cared for herself. The old lady was beginning to grow too old to care for Rose anymore and Rose decided it was time she put the past behind her and love this women like a mother. They cared for each other and comforted each other in times of trouble. When she finally turned fifteen, Rose decided that it was time to leave her adopted mother and begin her own Pokemon journey. She was determined to find out what creature had killed both her parents, as she believed they were the same. She also wanted to find Destiny, learn what happened to her closest friend. So she left, her eyes set on the future.
