Here's a list of information about the cities and towns throughout the Aero region. In this list are who they are owned by, a bit of history, what they look like and some important things to know about them.
The Far North
Glitz City
History-Glitz City is much like Snowpoint City in the Sinnoh Region. It's very quiet and ever does snow fall and ice reign across. It was originally built for trainers that worked with ice-type Pokemon. When times were better, there was a challenge gym here for trainers past the Pokemon League, though it is now unused.
Appearance: The buildings of Glitz City are mainly made of hard steel to protect it from fierce winter blizzards. The people living around wear sweaters, coats, scarves, and mittens all the time. It seems like one giant crystalline city.
Important Info: There's a sort of safari in the corner of the town run by an old man with the only
Frozen Coast
History-The Frozen Coast is a freezing plain blanketed by tons of snow year-round. Few people ever do come here, and often, in the days of the Puternic Empire, people in exile took refuge here. In the cold months, glaciers often float into the bay, along with them bringing in the Northern winds.
Appearance: The Coast is a seemingly barren area, with few inhabitants between both people and Pokemon. Sparse pine trees litter the land, like little oases in a vast desert. The area receives little annual rainfall, so even during summer it is as barren as ever. It is often referred to as "the endless land of snow."
Important Info: Recent discoveries have shown that large amounts of crude oil can be drilled using new kinds of technology. These have been a great interest to the Malum, and since then large pieces of machinery have plagued the land of snow.
Windswept Plains
History- a frozen wasteland, located in the Northern Aero, seemingly devoid of life. Little has ever changed, and little is likely to change in the future. These far from verdant plains remain unhampered with by humans, being such a hostile environment. Little has ever happened here, and it seems as nothing ever will.
Appearance: The Windswept Plains, like much of the north, remain uninhabited due to the harsh climate. However, many small plants have taken root and are thriving. Frost covers everything, as if the whole place was frozen in time. Often colorless in winter, its lack of change has led to it being known as "frozen hell."
Important Info: Little resources can be found in the plains, but being nearly impossible to reach, it offers refuge to those seeking to escape to Glitz City, the only free city in Northern Aero.
Glacial Peak
History-Glacial Peak has stood in the midst of the Windswept Plains since Aero was formed. Like the plains, it is seemingly untouched by life itself. A dark mountain standing in the middle of a never-ending blizzard, the Peak has been stirred the imaginations of many since its discovery. Legends tell of a strange being residing there, undisturbed. Although only legends, it is a known fact that anyone going there has never returned.
Appearance: The peak is a dark dot on the horizon, visible from miles away. It's almost as if the devil stuck a black claw through the plain and never returned to recover it. Nevertheless, it is quite a stunning sight, and seemingly shines in the bitterly cold nights. The mountain is a dark color, possibly obsidian. The mountain casts a shadow on the surrounding land, resembling a hook.
Important Info: Although barren, the mountain contains vast deposits of shale, a cheap energy alternative to coal. These pockets have interested the Malum since the day they arrived.
Silverwood Forest
History-A verdant, lush forest of conifers, the forest was a prime place for the pioneers to settle in. These "natives" have lived here for nearly four hundred years, long before the glaciers melted and the rest of Aero became inhabitable. In the old days, as the invaders of the Puternic Empire deforested the area for lumber, the natives fought alongside the Aeronians to defend their homes. In modern day, they fight to defend Silverwood once more.
Appearance: Silverwood has long been fantasized and written about. A serene, lush coating of frost covers the forest for most of the year, giving the forest its name. The place radiates life, and humans and Pokemon are seen together in harmony.
Important Info: As the old invaders of the empire cut down the trees, the Malum do the same thing now. Already fighting has erupted, as natives and Malum clash over the precious trees.
