From the Welven Woods, Kaitlyn hurtled out. She dug her feet firmly into the ground. Kaitlyn and Riku had just made it out of the forest, onto Route 3. From all that a Grovyle's eyes could see, the whole thing was one long dirt trail leading to the next city, Calava, one of the major checkpoints for the Malum. Kaitlyn clenched her fist just thinking about the name. Before she had gone into the woods, some Malum had chased her in Calava City and she just narrowly escaped. She realized then that they might have been close so she got on all fours and smelled the ground. She could just make out the scent of Malum, but none were close. They were safe...for now.
Kaitlyn turned around towards Riku and gestured that it was safe to continue. She hopped forward when her stomach made a huge growl. If a Grovyle could blush, this one was now. She looked up and realized that the sun was right overhead, right around noon. Kaitlyn knew that they wouldn't be able to find any more good food until at least Route 2. She walked over to the outer bushes and sniffed around. She smelled some kind of berry, mabye oran, or mabye that was pecha. She reached out into one of the bushes that the scent was strongest and pulled out a Bluk berry. She turned around and tossed it to Riku while she dived in for some more. She came back with a few more. She sat down and bit into one. It was sweet, and the black juice dripped down the side of the berry. After she had eaten the berry, though, her mouth felt dry. She stood up and said to Riku, "We would do well to continue soon."

RIKU IS NOT PSYCHIC! HE SENSES AURA! sorry just a little close to the boiling point latley. Anyway, can you pleeeeeeeeeeease edit so that she speaks to him normaly. He can somewhat understand, and he will better interpret it cause he can sense emotions. So, if you could detail emotions better, Riku can communicate better. and that whole thing before in the other thread was when riku connected through Aura's. that dosent happen often. So please keep this in mind. thanks!

Rikuwaited quietly for Kaitlyn to chck out the area. His new friend was very catious of things. He could feel it in her. As soon as he was alowwed to walk about, he peered through the bushes and saw his new surroundings. The past few days he'd seen and expierenced more than he ever had in his entire life. Which was only a month or so.
He took a berry from kaitlyn. He didn't regonize it, he only knew the taste of dry oran. But his friend was fine. So... squirt. He bit into it gingerly, with no teeth. He more pinched it open and juice went all over him. But it was sweet and delicious! He pushed his face into the hole he had made so he wouldn't have to waste time trying to bite again. He just slurped it out.
Soon, Riku was sitting in a puddle of juice, and though he was full, he manged to digest the last of the berry. he was coverd in the sweet sticky juice. And though it looked absoulutley adorable and cute, he was a mess. He was licking a bit of the juice oss his paws when he heard Kaitlyn begin to speak.
He looked up and nodded, unaware of his cutely disheveld state.

Kaitlyn smirked with amusement as Riku managed to splatter himself with berry juice. Wow, she'd never really seen a Riolu look so cute! It was a wonder, she realized, that he managed to even eat any of the berry with that amount of juice covering him! Hoping over to some leaves wet with dew, she picked off a few and rubbed them all over Riku, managing to get off most of it. She carefully hid the leaves under roots and up in trees. Returning to her companion, she held out a hand to help him up, then turned to the road. She squinted her eyes to try and see as far as she could. The path seemed straight and there didn't seemed to be much going on at the moment around the borders, so, after deciding it was safe, turned to Riku once again. "Now, Riku, I want you to be extra careful. The Malum may be around and they will have dangerous Pokemon with them, and weapons too. They will harm you in any way they can. Use cation while we are traveling." She turned back and began on the road again, taking care to look around as well.

Riku squirmed around as katilyn manged to get all the juice off him. He huffed, and crossed his arms, but was easily distracted by her words. He listened, not fulling understanding, but could sense her concern and caution. So he nodded, and thought about being safe.
But his young my easily wandered to the word Maulm. This stirred up some memories in him. Pokemon discussing things in fear, and uttered Maulm. This intrigued him. Pokemon often conected it to the word Areo, which either made pokemon shutter, or become proud. It was weird.
But Riku's gears were working fast, and before he knew it, was already on the new topic of tracking. He waqs intently following a set of light oddd unfamilliar tracks on the ground, right into the middle of the road!
